Practice
The Curriculum Development Unit has a specific responsibility to support youth workers and youth work organisations to share their youth work practice. Our primary method of doing this is through Curriculum Development News, which is published quarterly. You can download the latest version from our home page.
We would also like to support youth workers and youth work organisations to share their youth work practice with others on-line. The links to the right will allow you to view examples of youth work practice. We have organised this into context specific areas and thematic issue based work.
Initially the Curriculum Development Unit has agreed to host shared practice examples from the Rural Outreach Initiative. In this section of the site you can view examples of specific youth worker practice involved in this initiative. Follow the links to the organisation, then area of work and then youth worker. Examples of the workers practice are available to download and their contact details are provided should you wish to contact them.
If you would like to add an example of practice you can discuss this with the Curriculum Development Officers in the unit. They can provide guidance of possible content and format. A template of shared practice example is also available.
