Annual Report and External Evaluation

The unit produces an annual report each year which you can download below. The annual report is also published in summary form in each year within Curriculum Development News.

The work of the unit has also been opened to external scrutiny and evaluation. This has occurred on two occasions to date.

2005 External Evaluation by Clarke Frampton (.pdf) [pdf / 301KB] Following a meeting with Mr. John McCormick (Y.C.N.I.) it was agreed that an evaluation was to be carried out on a limited number of areas of work undertaken by the Northern Ireland Youth Work Curriculum Development Unit.

2003 External Evaluation by Rodney Green (.pdf) [pdf / 301KB] In May 2003, the Management Committee of the Youth Work Curriculum Development Unit (CDU) commissioned Rodney Green of RG Consultants to complete an independent evaluation of the progress made through the operation of the CDU to date. The purpose of the evaluation was to assess the level of awareness of CDU, explore initial outcomes and to make a series of recommendations to steer future plans.
