What is the purpose of this resource?
This resource has been developed by the Curriculum Development Unit in response to requests from youth workers for a practical guide that would further clarify the core principles indentified in Youth Work: A Model for Effective Practice.
It will also help and give ideas as to how to put the Three Core Principles into practice when working with young people. It is aimed at supporting youth workers to identify and create opportunities to engage with young people in discussions and activities, taking account of the Three Core Principles in their practice.
This resource provides guidance on how youth workers can use the Three Core
Principles to support youth work practice at all levels across the youth sector.
